Bulkheads

A bulkhead is a structure built along the shoreline of a body of water to protect against erosion and storm damage.

Piers/Catwalks

Built to Last

Bulkheads

A bulkhead can be made of various materials, such as concrete, stone, or steel, and can take many forms, such as a vertical wall or a sloping barrier. Bulkheads are commonly used to protect coastal properties, roads, and infrastructure from the effects of waves and storm surges. If your bulkhead is old and rotting or you see pockets and holes next to your bulkhead its time for a new one. Just give us a call and we would love to come look at it and give you some options.

Pier/Catwalk

A pier is a raised platform that extends out over water, typically used for fishing or as a walkway for people to enjoy a waterfront view. Usually it will lead to a floating dock where ones boat is tied up.

Floating Docks

A floating dock makes perfect acces to ones boat. Usually at the end of a gang way the floating dock allows you to tie your boat up. With extras like cleats and bumpers your boat will never see scratches.

Lift Installation

AMC are dealers for Hi-tide. Our great relationship with Hi-tide allows us to get you any lift you need fast. With lifts that hold up to 180,000 pounds AMC works with Hi-tide to make a personal lift which fits to your boats hull. Let us know the model of your boat and we will take it from there.

Decks

Not only does AMC build decks for bulkheads we also build decks for houses. Our team of designers will work with you to make a personal deck to your likings. With the use of trek or timber tech decking any colour is possible. The hard part is deciding.

Piling Instalation

Pilings are key to the structure of your bulkhead. At AMC we use tie-rods to go from horizontal deadman in the ground to the vertical piling. This is to insure there is no bow in the bulkhead.

Grading

The grading process is very important when dealing with bulkheads. The slope needs to be correct so water is diverted to certain areas. AMC has also done grading projects for house builds and parking lots. With speaclized machines and experienced operators AMC will create a perfect functioning surface.

Foundation Pilings

AMC uses foundation pilings to support a structure by transferring the load to deeper, more stable soil or rock layers. They are typically used in areas with shallow or unstable soil, or in areas prone to flooding or erosion. They can also be used to support structures built on sloped or uneven ground. With the use of striker hydraulic compactor we are able to get into spots large cranes can not.

Dredging

AMC has specific equipment to allow for dredging. With the Cat 326F we are able to reach far into a body of water to allow for a deeper channel. This allows boats to pull right up to the bulkhead or into a slip and not have to worry about getting stuck in the mud on a lower tide.

Permitting

Permitting is a huge factor when dealing with marine construction and is enforced strictly by the town. Rather than going through the work yourself our own personal expediting team will obtain all the permits needed for construction. We have a great relationship with the town of Brookhaven and Southampton which allows us to get permits in no time.
